In this book, the Author grapples with the core challenge arising from the clash between Kant’s deontological moral theory and the consequentialist perspective of modern utilitarianism and invents an original ethical system by combining the two. Simply brilliant.
The book covers a range of topics, including the environment, child punishments, poverty, food subsidies, car accidents, taxation, justice, politics, suicide, and school shootings, and how it all relates to ethics. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
